When you press the Stela button on your iPhone, the article is downloaded and sent to your Pebble. Stela even launches the watch app for you!
How does reading work on such a small screen, you may ask? Its quite simple, really. Words are flashed on-screen, one at a time, so that they are optically centered in the same place. Your eyes stay focused in the same place, allowing you to read just as fast as your brain can process images. As it turns out, this means that Stela allows you to read at over 800 words per minute! As if that wasnt enough, studies have shown that Stela-style reading can actually improve comprehension, too.
The name Stela comes from the word "stele." A stele is an ancient form of stone writing tablet. Writing revolutionized the world, allowing people to learn more through the magic of reading. Likewise, we hope that you are able to use Stela to learn great things.
When an article is sent to the watch, all images, share buttons, sidebars, and ads are stripped out so you can read just the article you actually want to read.
